Designed for “second stage” following a MicroFAST® system to meet higher levels of nitrogen reduction, ideal for high ammonia waste stream, such as schools and direct discharge into lakes, streams, lagoons or properties near environmentally-sensitive areas with higher levels of ammonia influent.
How it Works
The NitriFAST® systems provide higher nitrification/denitrification performance over traditional systems and exceeding typical effluent requirements for wastewater recycling opportunities or reducing the size of the leach field with less aesthetic disturbance of property value or system components. The fundamental design of NitriFAST® is based on the same Fixed Integrated Treatment Technology (FITT®) as MicroFAST® and HighStrengthFAST® and is primarily used as a secondary nitrification device when very low ammonia and/or total nitrogen is required.
How it Installs
Engineered to fit most typical applications where higher ammonia influent is present, NitriFAST® systems are installed after a MicroFAST to provide secondary nitrification of the wastewater. It can be used for new construction or retrofitting in existing tanks; including those in nitrogen sensitive areas or limitations with distance to groundwater and/or smaller dispersal field size requirements.
